What fans do know about Ghost of Tsushima is exciting, though. The gameplay that’s been demonstrated looks compelling, a mixture between tense stealth and gorgeous combat, and it’s made even more interesting by the fact that Sucker Punch is working with real samurai to help develop Ghost of Tsushima and make it as authentic as possible. According to Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida, Ghost of Tsushima’s graphics are also so good that even he was impressed when he got to check out the game this summer – a comment that not only got consumers excited, but led to speculation that the game might actually release sometime in 2
According to new information, Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima could release as late as the second half of 2020, apparently in part due to the fact that The Last of Us 2 is getting delayed until spring of that year. Ghost of Tsushima is the one Sony PlayStation exclusive due out over the next year that fans don’t know much about after much of the spotlight has been taken by The Last of Us 2 and Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rema
In fact, Sony’s complete lack of fear regarding game delays are probably why the company has a console with what many would agree is one of the strongest exclusive libraries in the history of consoles. While it’s disappointing to find out consumers will need to wait longer for exciting games, it’s better that than getting them half-finished – and in the case of Ghost of Tsushima , there wasn’t even a release date announced, so it’s not like a late 2020 release is a change in public pl
Ever since the release of Batman: Arkham VR in 2016, there has been radio silence regarding the next title from the acclaimed British developer, which will be a step in a new direction away from the dark knight. Apparently, three years is not enough for us to get our first glimpse at their newest project, as Rocksteady Studios co-founder Sefton Hill took to Twitter the week before E3 to confirm that they will not be making their way to LA this year.
There are still a lot of questions that I have about Ghost of Tsushima. The game has been hidden from PlayStation fans for many years, and I’m sure many of you were just as surprised as I was when we found out this was Sucker Punch’s next epic tale. I want Ghost of Tsushima DLC|https://tsushimalegend.com/ of Tsushima to be great; in fact, I want it to be looked to as the precedent for samurai games and more. My E3 dream is that this will be the samurai game I’ve always dreamt of play
Fox also mentioned in a follow-up group Q&A that they have spent a lot of time attempting to find a way to do justice to the samurai and people who suffered during the real-life Mongol invasions of Japan in the late 13th century. However, Ghost of Tsushima , while based on a real invasion, is a fictionalized story – and the names of all the samurai in the game have had their names changed in order to honor those that died on the beaches during the Mongolian invas
There’s been an absence of serious stories revolving around samurai, and I so desperately want that gap to be filled by a game that not only features a gripping narrative, beautiful Japanese visuals, and bloody yet oh-so-satisfying combat, but one that also gives us a more personal look at the virtues and mentality of the soldiers during this riveting time in the country’s long history. We’ve already seen small glimpses hinting at all of these things in the game’s reveal trailer . I was initially more than apprehensive thinking about a Western developer tackling such demanding hopes, but Sucker Punch has proved to me that they can create games that are special and resonate with PlayStation’s most dedicated fans: there’s no doubt about that. The developer has had many years to really flesh this game out, and with Sony behind them, I trust they’re tackling this project with the utmost care it deser
We don’t know a lot about the world in Ghost of Tsushima , aside from Japan’s history during this time period. What will its open world look like , and how will its unique setting and time period influence that? Will I be able to customize my armor and weapons? I’m hoping for some customization options here, and I think it’s a safe bet that there probably will be. As for the open world part, we’ll just have to wait and see. But as we’ve seen with a slew of other PS4 exclusives, whether the game is linear, open world or semi-open, this should have practically no effect on whether or not the game is good or bad: it’s all about the execution here on many of the things that I’ve already mentio
Overall, Ghost of Tsushima’s gameplay was every bit as impressive in great detail as it was shown during Sony’s press conference. One of the things highlighted during the hands-off gameplay presentation was the physics-based engine and the realistic blood patterns. For instance, players will be able to see the exact spot they hit an enemy with their katana. And every individual blood particle has been designed to splatter as realistically as possible. Hopefully, we get to see more of that as the game continues to be refined in developm
